Of all the questions you can ask, "Why?" is generally the most important. It offers reason and purpose, and without it we would have neither. It is not, however, the question that sparked the idea behind Backbone.
The driving force behind Backbone Music Group is the question: "How?" This, coupled with the notion that everyone has something to offer the next person, is the core philosophy of what we do. The 'why' behind that very notion is the number of musicians asking 'how', and the intent to foster a community of answers to these types of questions. We want to create a self-sustaining portal, where the needs of musicians are met by the knowledge and experience of others. This 'For Musicians by Musicians' mentality is what will strengthen and expand the Backbone community into what it needs to be to support all who are a part of it. We seek to be dynamic and adaptable, aware and responsive. We want this to be everything you need it to be, for as long as you need it.
